TurningPoint is a system which allows students to participate actively in class, by giving responses to polls. This system, by Turning Technologies, fully integrates with Microsoft PowerPoint, and allows students to participate in presentations or lectures by submitting responses to interactive questions using a keypad/clicker or any device with internet connection.

We have two options for lecturers to use:

  1. Tangible clickers: physical clickers, which only work in combination with a dongle. We have a stock of clickers and dongles.
  2. TurningPoint Mobile: we have accounts for the use of an online version of TurningPoint. An account is needed to log in and create a session, which can be offered online. Students can then use their smartphones to join the session and basically use their smartphones as clickers.

The starting point is to fill in a request form in TOPdesk, via Self Service Portal. The installation on a TU computer is arranged by Brightspace Support and performed by WPS of the faculty.

Find below more information on how to make reservations and use TurningPoint:

Tangible clickers: lecturers can make a reservation and subsequently pick up a set of clickers and a dongle, so that they can use these in their classes. In this reservation you tell us when you will need the clickers and how many you will require. Click here to proceed with your reservation.

TurningPoint Mobile: you can also reserve online presenter-accounts so students can use their mobile device (App or browser). Click here to proceed with your reservation.
